When asked to pin-point the exact sound of his band, Brian Lane, drummer
for Brand New, said as follows:
"Post-hardcore, punk, whatever. We're just a rock band of sorts, but
as long as you bear in mind that the word 'emo' doesn't exist in my vocabulary, you can call us whatever you like."
And so I welcome you to my site. My name's Emily and I'll be your guide for today...or
something like that. This is my website and I'm not quite sure what it's gonna be like yet.
Have a look around. They'll be something for you all. My job is to educate you
on what I think is good music and rant about everything. If you don't like it, don't read it. Just don't send me mean messages
'cause I can't handle the pain.

If you have anything you want to submit to the site (pictures, rants, reviews etc)
send them to me via e-mail and I'll contemplate posting them. That's actually a lie - I will post them because I'll
no doubt run out of material soon enough.
Origins of The Site
The whole reason I've created 'Emo-Central (Or Not...)' is because a very good
friend of mine - you'll probably hear a lot of ranting about her on this site - took it upon herself to mock me for my growing
obsession with vaguely emo music.
Oh, and the emo fringe doesn't help either.
